‘Our best finisher’: Leandro Trossard saved Arsenal from losing to Bayern Munich, can make his impact in big matches

Returning to the Champions League quarterfinals after a 12-year absence, Arsnal began the match with confidence and took a large lead when Bukayo Saka opened the scoring for the home club in the 12th minute.

With the lead, Arsenal continued to press the away team, but they were the ones who gave up a goal owing to defensive blunders. Gabriel passed the ball improperly, allowing Goretzka to escape and steal the ball before “setting the ball up” for Gnabry to score to tie the game 1-1 in the 18th minute.

The Gunners’ misery did not end there, as Saliba fouled Sane in the penalty area, and the referee awarded the away team a penalty in the 31st minute. Harry Kane easily put Bayern ahead from the 11-metre mark. The opposition team’s first-half score was also 2-1.
