Puma has officially announced a new long-term collaboration with Kai Havertz, the German international and Arsenal player. Havertz is set to become a prominent figure in the Future silo, and Puma is thrilled to have secured the signing of a player who is widely recognized as the future of German football.
Puma has not disclosed the duration of the collaboration, nor have they confirmed if Havertz would receive customized boots. The exact amount of money Havertz will get from the arrangement is yet unknown. However, according to Footy Headlines, it is anticipated that the deal will be valued at a range of several million euros per year, namely between 1 and 4 million euros.
After finalizing the relationship, Kai conveyed his enthusiasm for becoming a member of Puma.
“During my childhood in Germany Puma has always maintained its status as a renowned brand, with numerous legendary athletes donning its merchandise. PUMA has consistently demonstrated a commitment to innovation in the realm of football boots and their collaboration with athletes. Upon convening with the team and engaging in a discourse over future strategies, I discerned that this was the ideal match for me. They possess a deep comprehension of athletes and have a genuine desire to engage in collaboration with their players; the environment truly fosters a sense of familial connection.
The FUTURE boot is an ideal choice for my game and a boot that I was excited to transition to. It is unparalleled by any other boot. PUMA is not only thriving as a brand in the realm of sports, but it is also having significant impact in other domains of both athletics and fashion. “We are currently engaged in stimulating projects, and I am eagerly anticipating what lies ahead,” stated Kai Havertz.
Johan Adamsson, the Global Director of Sports Marketing and Sports Licensing at Puma, expressed:
“We are delighted to welcome Kai into our family and embark on the next phase of his professional journey together.” Kai has already accomplished a significant amount. Given his exceptional skills and optimistic mindset, we firmly believe that he will continue to be a central figure in both his Club and National team for an extended period of time. He is a highly accomplished athlete with ambitious goals both in his sport and beyond. We are eager to collaborate on several intriguing projects.
As of 24 September 2023, Havertz has started wearing Puma footwear with a “red-out” design. This indicates that he may soon announce his transition from Nike to Puma.
