Man United is said to be interested in Real Madrid striker Joselu in this summer transfer window.
According to Relevo, Man United wants to recruit Joselu in the upcoming transfer window, looking for competition for Rasmus Hojlund in attack.
Currently, Erik ten Hag is really having difficulty choosing names in attack. Anthony Martial and Hojlund were both sidelined due to injury, forcing the Dutch coach to use Rashford as a striker.
Besides, Martial’s contract will also end at the end of the season, so bringing in a new striker could be Man United’s priority in the next transfer window.
Joselu wants to stay at Real Madrid
Previously, Joselu agreed to return to Real Madrid from Espanol on loan last summer. And with his solid performances so far, this striker is being considered for a permanent purchase by Los Blancos, but no decision has been made yet.
At the age of 34, the Spanish striker is approaching the end of his career and is currently playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world. However, Joselu may still want to return to the Premier League once.
According to information from Spain, Man United is showing interest in recruiting Joselu, sending representatives to Madrid to discuss a potential contract.
The above source also said that Joselu really wants to stay at Real Madrid, and the final decision will be made at the end of the season.
However, it should be remembered that Joselu was not very successful in the Premier League when playing for clubs like Stoke City and Newcastle United. The 34-year-old striker only scored 11 goals and 6 assists after a total of 79 appearances for these two clubs.
Alternative target
If Man United cannot convince Joselu to return to England, Jim Ratcliffe will be forced to find an alternative to strengthen the attack.
To avoid a lack of personnel like the current season, the scouting team at Old Trafford needs to identify a center forward as one of their priorities.
Sharing on GIVEMESPORT, journalist Ben Jacobs now confirms that Brighton striker Evan Ferguson is a potential option for Man United in the upcoming transfer window.
The Republic of Ireland international has made impressive strides for Brighton and could provide strong competition for Hojlund in attack.
