Draymond Green is once again in hot water over his on-court antics. This time, he choked Patty Mills on a play in the Golden State Warriors’ showdown against the Miami Heat. Despite Green’s promise to the NBA that he would turn a new page, it appears that breaking old habits is extremely tough.
During the first quarter of the game, Draymond Green attempted to get away from Patty Mills’ screen in order to prevent Bam Adebayo from scoring inside the paint. However, his technique of escaping was frowned upon.
Green grabbed Mills’ neck, making it appear as if he was trying to choke him so he could get away. While many felt he should have been called for a severe penalty, the authorities eventually determined that it was a common foul.
Fans on social media have voiced disappointment with Green for seemingly failing to deliver on his pledge. Some posted snide comments, while others simply called him out for his inappropriate behavior.
