‘Every game is a little something different, so it’s not an easy position to be in’ – Curry urges Warriors to have more urgency

The Golden State Warriors have struggled for consistency throughout the season. They’ve also failed to take advantage of their home games. A lack of size and an aging core have contributed to the franchise’s troubles in recent months. However, the Warriors can still make the playoffs, albeit through the play-in tournament.

Steph Curry spoke to the media after the Warriors’ 123-111 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Friday (March 22), discussing how his team needs more urgency. He realizes the challenge that he and his teammates are currently facing.

“Every game is a little something different, so it’s not an easy position to be in,” Curry said in an interview. “Especially when every game matters and counts. There must be a sense of urgency in how we finish this final stretch of games.

There is importance in closing the season strongly. It might help Steve Kerr’s squad gain much-needed momentum going into the play-in event. If the season ended today, the Warriors would need to beat the Los Angeles Lakers and then the loser of the Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings to make the playoffs. That’s a tall order, no matter who is on your roster.

Golden State is unlikely to be able to secure the sixth seed right now. As a result, the best they can do now is try to gain momentum and prepare for a tough two games that will shape how we perceive their season.
