Erik ten Hag enjoys three-hour celebratory dinner at Italian restaurant after Man Utd send Liverpool home

ERIK TEN HAG went to his favourite Italian restaurant last night to celebrate Manchester United’s stunning win over Liverpool.

Sir Alex Ferguson and two other famous figures were at Old Trafford on Sunday to watch United’s rollercoaster 4-3 FA Cup victory over their rivals.

Scott McTominay, who was later caught in an X-rated incident, got the Red Devils off to a strong start, but Alexis MacAllister and Mo Salah put the visitors ahead before the break, enraging Roy Keane.

Substitute Antony scored at the end of normal time, sending the game into extra time, only for Harvey Elliott’s deflected strike to restore Liverpool’s lead.

Marcus Rashford pounced late on, but there was another dramatic surprise in store.

Amad Diallo, a super sub, scored the winning goal following a counter-attack in the dying seconds, but his celebrations were cut short after he removed his shirt and was sent out for a second booking.

Ten Hag was praised for his four tactical adjustments, which included Bruno Fernandes moving to centre-back and the irate Antony playing left-back, which fueled the comeback.

There were scenes of delight afterwards, but as the drama subsided and the Dutchman had departed Old Trafford, he was eager to celebrate in his own manner.

It is not the first time that the Dutchman has headed to the eatery

On Sunday evening, he was seen at Piccolino, an Italian restaurant in Cheshire, with his agent Kees Vos and other members of his management team.

They ate for three hours before leaving at 11 p.m.

Ten Hag has been a fixture at the restaurant since he came over in the summer of 2022.

He has not simply found comfort in winning.

The former Ajax manager went there after losing his first match in charge against Brighton.
