The Golden State Warriors begin the second half of the season at home against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday, and Stephen Curry is laying the groundwork for an entertaining conclusion to the season and, eventually, his NBA career.
After Sunday’s All-player Game, Curry gave solid counsel to emerging Indiana Pacers player Tyrese Haliburton. He also discussed ending the Warriors’ season ‘the proper way’ with co-stars Draymond Green and Klay Thompson.
With the Warriors facing the Lakers on Thursday, Curry opened up on his ‘basketball mortality.’
Curry’s Eye-Opening Perspective on Career Arc
Curry recorded 16 points, eight assists, and five rebounds in his team’s loss to the Eastern Conference on Sunday, as part of an All-Star Game that NBA commentator Kendrick Perkins described as ’embarrassing’ for its lack of effort.
The former Davidson Wildcats star is 35 years old and joined the NBA in 2009-2010.
Curry told ESPN’s Malika Andrews that while he considers the possibility of ending his NBA career, he also tries not to limit who he can be and what he can accomplish at his relatively mature age among his peers.
