The NBA All-Star Game is usually a lot of fun, especially when long-time rivals get to play together for the night. While Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry and Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James are close friends off the court, they also have one of the best on-court rivalries of all time.
Curry and James faced off in the NBA Finals every year from 2015 to 2018, and they had some amazing confrontations on the sport’s grandest stage. The two stars faced off again in the 2021 play-in round, as well as in last year’s Western Conference Semi-Finals.
James and Curry, who are now teammates for the 2024 All-Star Game, hugged in the locker room, and Curry shared a simple message with James:
Curry observed, “It never gets old,” as the two luminaries exchanged greetings.
This was similar to Curry’s message to James during their most recent matchup, when the Warriors star challenged the Lakers star, “How does it keep getting better?”
This came after the Lakers defeated the Warriors in a double overtime fight, in which both Curry and James performed admirably. Curry and James are without a doubt the finest players of their age, having defined an era in basketball.
Curry and James, their teammates for the night, will seek to lead their team to victory in the All-Star Game on Sunday.
