Pep Guardiola has announced that Manchester City attacker Erling Haaland is fit to start against Brentford on Monday night.
The Manchester City attacker made his long-awaited return from a foot injury that had sidelined him for two months during their 3-1 victory against Burnley earlier this week.
It would be Haaland’s first Premier League start since December 6, as the champions try to extend their recent run of dominance.
Kevin De Bruyne made his first start since August in the triumph over the Clarets, while Manuel Akanji is also fit, ensuring Guardiola has a full squad available.
“Everybody is fit, everybody is ready,” the City manager stated on Friday.
“Manuel Akanji is also back. The busy summer has begun, and the Champions League is just around the corner. It’s nice to have everyone.”
Manchester City’s expected XI: Ederson; Walker, Dias, Stones, Ake; Rodri, Silva, De Bruyne, Foden, Haaland, Alvarez
