Man Utd striker Rasmus Hojlund recently recorded a special milestone in Premier League history on his 21st birthday.
On the night of February 4, MU had a decisive 3-0 victory at home against West Ham in round 23 of the Premier League. The goals were scored by Rasmus Hojlund and a brace by Alejandro Garnacho.
Notably, Hojlund’s opening goal marked the Danish striker’s fourth goal in the Premier League this season. Notably, all 4 goals were scored in 4 consecutive matches.
Thereby helping Hojlund go down in history as the youngest player to score in 4 consecutive appearances in the Premier League for Manchester United.
In addition, by scoring on his 21st birthday, Hojlund also achieved another special milestone. According to Opta, MU’s number 11 is the second player to score on his 21st birthday in the Premier League. The only person to have done this before was Noel Whelan in December 1995.
With his recent goal against West Ham, Hojlund also reached 10 goals in all competitions for the Red Devils this season. 5 of them were scored by this striker in the Champions League even though MU only played the entire group stage, the remaining 1 goal was in the FA Cup.
The better Hojlund plays, the better it will certainly bring many benefits to MU in the remaining phase of the season. Especially when they are trying to race into the top 4 of the Premier League.
The victory over coach David Moyes’ team helped MU take 6th place from their opponent. After 23 matches, coach Ten Hag’s team has 38 points, still 8 points behind the group participating in the Champion League, but the tournament still has 15 rounds left.
