Golden State Warriors’ wing Andrew Wiggins left Saturday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks with a left ankle injury.
The Warriors said he was declared out in the third quarter.
Wiggins appeared to have sustained the injury late in the second quarter on a collision with Hawks center Clint Capela. He limped into the tunnel afterward and did not return in the second half.
The 28-year-old swingman appeared to find his footing with the Warriors in a new-look starting lineup that included Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Jonathan Kuminga, and Draymond Green, averaging 17.8 points on 65.8% shooting during his previous four games.
Brandin Podziemski, a rookie guard, replaced him in the second half.
