Tatum, a native of St. Louis and the third overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft selected by the Boston Celtics, expressed his excitement about joining the brand and receiving approval from Michael Jordan himself, whom he considers the greatest of all time.
Jordan Brand, owned by Nike Inc., has over 50 athlete ambassadors across various sports. The event also saw the attendance of other notable athletes such as Maya Moore, Blake Griffin, and Kemba Walker.
The event showcased Jordan Brand’s 2018 Flight Utility theme upgrades, including the 23 Engineered apparel collection, featuring functional jackets made of reflective high-tech nylon and vibrant colored washes. The brand also unveiled the Jordan Trunner NXT HTM, a collaboration with Hiroshi Fujiwara, Tinker Hatfield, and Mark Parker. Additionally, a lifestyle collection for Paris Saint-Germain, with distinctive infrared accents, was introduced. The Quai 54 collection, celebrating the 15th anniversary of the renowned streetball tournament, was also revealed.
