ERLING HAALAND has refuted rumors in Norway that he spent £4 million on a new private jet.
The Manchester City superstar was sidelined by a foot injury before coming on as a substitute in Wednesday’s 3-1 victory over Burnley.
Striker Haaland once owned a Piper M600 jet, along with his father Alfie and partners in the Norwegian firm Sola M600.
They sold the plane late last year, and aviation specialists believe the 23-year-old will charter flights in the future.
However, the Norwegian newspaper Finansavisen reported that the consortium purchased a luxury Pilatus PC-12 private plane.
However, Haaland has refuted the charges, calling them fake news.
The jets cost between £3.3 and £4.5 million.
They are dubbed the Swiss Army knife of planes, with six business-class seats.
Carl-Christian Gunnestad, an aviation broker, remarked, “We usually compare this plane to a Mercedes SUV.”
“It features a luxury cabin created by BMW and a cutting-edge cockpit. It is ideal for families and business people.”
Haaland’s fortunes have improved dramatically since joining City in 2022, winning the Champions League, Premier League, and FA Cup in his debut season.
The Norway international has since suffered significant setbacks, losing nearly two months due to injury and witnessing City fall five points behind Liverpool.
But he’s now hoping for more silverware.
Haaland is set to make his first start after returning from a foot injury on Monday against Brentford.
He played 23 minutes of football in his return to action against Burnley.
