Mason Greenwood rumored to be moving to Barcelona in ‘HUGE’ transfer deal

Mason Greenwood expressed to his advisors that a summer move to Barcelona would be his ‘dream’.

The former England international is now on loan in Spain with Getafe, since he is not expected to play for Manchester United anytime soon.

This came after criminal charges against him for attempted rape, violence, and coercive control were dismissed. The 22-year-old disputed all charges.

Greenwood is a long-term desire for the Catalan giants, and reports from the end of December stated that they were considering a £40 million move for the United expatriate.

According to The Sun, Greenwood has instructed his advisors to make the transfer, suggesting that the striker is considering it.

Mason Greenwood has reportedly informed his advisors to help secure his ‘dream’ move to Barcelona.

Greenwood has not been a standout in LaLiga, but he has shown potential for a great career since joining the United first squad in 2019.

Greenwood now has five goals in 19 games, and with no future at parent club United, he is eager to move to the Nou Camp.

According to reports, United want £40 million for the striker, despite the fact that he will only have one year remaining on his contract with the Red Devils at the end of this season.

Greenwood has scored five goals in 19 games for Getafe on loan this season.

Barcelona reportedly dispatched scouts to watch Greenwood play six times this season and are impressed with his performances.

So much so that a report at the end of last year said they were willing to offer Greenwood their famed No 10 shirt, which had previously been worn by club legend Lionel Messi, to sweeten the deal.

Greenwood’s current club, Getafe, is also rumored to be interested in permanently signing the forward.
