Damian Lillard, the Milwaukee Bucks’ superstar, is without a doubt one of the NBA’s best point guards right now. In fact, many fans would consider him one of the top five point guards in league history. After all, it’s difficult to argue that Dame has accomplished enough during his storied career to deserve this accolade.
Lillard was recently asked to identify his top five all-time point guards, and the Bucks star provided an intriguing answer.
Damian Lillard of the Milwaukee Bucks names his top five NBA point guards.
In a recent interview with Bally Sports Wisconsin, Lillard was asked to name the five best point guards he had ever seen. He began with Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson, who was swiftly followed by the best shooter of all time, Stephen Curry.
“At my position, of all time, I’d say Magic (Johnson), Steph (Curry), Oscar Robertson,” Lillard said.
Bucks supporters will be pleased to see that Lillard has included Milwaukee legend Oscar Robertson on his list.
Dame had to take a step back as he grappled with the remaining two names on his list. He had to inquire if he could include himself in the top five.
“That’s tough. Do I put myself in there? He inquired. “Me… I would say Steve Nash. Nash has won the MVP award twice. Nash.”
This is a fairly good list, if you ask me. Of course, Lillard had to include himself in his own list.
Steve Nash is also a terrific inclusion, and while some may disagree, a look at the former back-to-back MVP’s credentials will reveal that he is, in fact, one of the greatest of all time.
