Bryce James, the youngest son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, has made a notable return to Sierra Canyon, the prestigious high school basketball program where his promising basketball journey began. After a six-month break, Bryce has rejoined the renowned institution. This development follows a series of changes in his schooling and basketball career over the past year.
Initially, Bryce decided to transfer to Campbell High after completing his sophomore season at Sierra Canyon. Around the same time, his older brother Bronny left Sierra Canyon to attend USC for his freshman year of college. At Campbell High, Bryce had the opportunity to train alongside Chris Paul’s son and participate in the Section 7 tournament in Arizona. He also competed in Nike’s Elite Youth Basketball league during the summer. The James family even made a generous donation towards the construction of a new athletic facility at Campbell High.
However, Bryce’s time at Campbell High was short-lived as he made another move in August. He opted to transfer to Notre Dаme, the CIF State Division 1 champions. Unfortunately, his stint at Notre Dаme was brief, and he ultimately decided to return to Sierra Canyon. According to Sports Illustrated, Bryce would have missed a significant portion of the season if he had stayed at Notre Dаme, as the James family did not change their residency after he enrolled at the Sherman Oaks school in the fall.
Now, Bryce James is back at Sierra Canyon, resuming his basketball journey at the esteemed institution. This return marks an exciting chapter in his ongoing development as a young basketball talent, following in the footsteps of his father’s legendary career in the NBA.
