PUMA celebrated the launching of Sergio Agüero’s custom designed Derby Fever evoSPEED SL-S football boots (wheels) today by wrapping a high-speed Nissan GT-R to transport the boots, which will be worn only for the Manchester Derby on April 27th.

PUMA asked Yiannimize, the leading provider of supercar customization for Premier League players, to wrap the GT-R’s 3.8-litre V6 24-valve twin-turbocharged exterior with the distinctive design of the boot. Sergio’s affinity for supercars, as well as his own performance attributes of speed, acceleration, and agility, are reflected in the car’s 560 BHP.

The PUMA Derby Fever Pack is a graphic boot collection that honors epic clashes between local football rivals. The boots were created in collaboration with Sergio and feature the sky blue of his home uniform as well as graphic features inspired by Manchester’s strong history of industry and hard work.

“I knew nothing about this, but as a supercar fan, I was pretty excited when the custom wrapped Nissan GT-R parked up to deliver my evoSPEED SL-S Derby Fever boots,” PUMA athlete Sergio Agüero said. The boots and the car look fantastic; I can’t wait to wear them in the derby; it’s the first match I watch out for when the schedule is released.”
