With a former England player as a father and a fashionable mother, it’s no surprise that the Rooney children have costly tastes.
Wayne and Coleen, both 37, appear to have spared no expense for their four children, who live in multi-million pound mansions and receive birthday gifts worth thousands of pounds.
The famous family is back in the spotlight as the new documentary Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story premieres tomorrow on Disney+.
It chronicles the legal drama between the mother of four and Rebekah Vardy, whom she accuses of leaking material to the press, but also sheds light on the financial toll it took on her family.
“It was horrible because I didn’t want to be around people,” she stated in a trailer for the documentary. That is not at all me. And I was irritated with the kids. I really didn’t like trying to be cheerful.”
Here, we have a glimpse at the lavish lifestyle the couple leads with their boys Kai, 13, Klay, 10, Kit, 7, and Cass, 5.
Birthday bashes
If their children’s birthday parties are any indication, the Rooneys know how to celebrate with style.
Over the years, the pair has hosted themed parties inspired by football, Sour Patch Kids candy, and Prime energy drink.
Cass, the couple’s fourth child, celebrated her fifth birthday in February with a party themed after Nickelodeon’s The Loud House.
The child was showered with balloons and a towering pile of presents wrapped in wrapping paper with his face on it.
Kit’s seventh birthday in January included 18 bottles of the popular sports drink Prime, which was in short supply in the UK.
The beverage, invented by YouTubers KSI and Jake Paul, was so popular that 500ml bottles were selling for £20 – a 12-pack had previously sold for £50,000 on eBay.
Kit held a football-themed party two years prior, and the family rented out fancy teepee beds for their kids to rest in in their garden.
While the family appears to be pretty secretive about their children’s gifts, Coleen and Wayne were discovered to have spent money on a mini golf course for eldest son Kai’s sixth birthday in 2015.
The gift, which was valued at £7,000, included artificial grass that could be used all year and was erected in their back garden.
The installation of the spectacular 30 square metre birthday present was believed to have taken four days.
‘No expense spared’ vacations
Most people’s eyes would turn green with jealousy if they peeked inside the Rooney children’s passports, which are crammed with stamps from luxurious locales all over the world.
They have taken Disney park visits, skiing vacations, trips around the United States, and a “no expense spared” vacation to Dubai over the years.
The latter holiday came after Coleen’s libel lawsuit victory with Rebekah Vardy, and it appears the family celebrated lavishly.
They stayed in the luxurious five-star Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, one of the Middle East’s most exclusive and poshest places.
