On November 1, 2020, the 48-year-old former Manchester United star was accused with assaulting 36-year-old Kate Greville at his £1.7 million property in Worsley, Greater Manchester.

Prosecutor Peter Wright KC, however, informed Manchester Crown Court that no official evidence will be presented.

Giggs’ attorney said he was “deeply relieved” by the ruling after “fighting throughout” for three years to clean his client’s name.

“He now seeks to rebuild his life as an innocent man,” he continued.
