After a series of changes and transfers, Bryce James, the youngest son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, has made a return to Sierra Canyon, the prestigious high school basketball program where his journey began. Reports indicate that Bryce has re-enrolled at Sierra Canyon following a tumultuous summer that saw him switch schools multiple times.
Initially, Bryce transferred to Campbell High after completing his sophomore season at Sierra Canyon, while his older brother Bronny left the program to attend college at USC. During his time at Campbell High, Bryce had the opportunity to train with Chris Paul’s son and participate in tournaments like the Section 7 in Arizona. He also competed in Nike’s Elite Youth Basketball league during the summer. Furthermore, the James family made a generous donation towards the construction of a new athletic facility at Campbell High.
However, Bryce’s stint at Campbell High was short-lived, as he made another move in August, this time to Notre Dаme, the CIF State Division 1 champions. Unfortunately, his time at Notre Dаme was also brief, and he ultimately decided to return to Sierra Canyon. According to Sports Illustrated, Bryce would have missed a significant portion of the season if he had stayed at Notre Dаme, as the James family did not change their residency after he enrolled at the Sherman Oaks school in the fall.
Now, Bryce James has reunited with Sierra Canyon, marking his return to the esteemed institution where his basketball journey first took off. It will be interesting to see how Bryce’s presence impacts the team and how he continues to develop as a young basketball talent.
