Erling Haaland wishes to greet all of his Instagram followers a Merry Christmas by posting a photo of himself dressed as Santa Claus.

Despite being unable to compete in Manchester City’s Club World Cup win, Erling Haaland is rarely out of the news. He personally ensured this with the lovely Christmas greeting photograph he posted on Instagram: I was dressed as Santa Claus.

Many football players have elected to wear the traditional red suit to express good wishes on Christmas Day, a very familiar image at this time of year. The snapshot of the Norwegian celebrity has a twist: it was created by Artificial Intelligence.

In addition to his significantly older visage and more Nordic-looking attire, the shot shows him holding the Champions League trophy he won a few months ago and the Champions League match ball in the other hand. He did, however, make a wish: “Ho, ho, ho. Christmas has here! I hope you have a good time with your loved ones.”

More significantly, Haaland appears in the second actual image with the five titles he won with Manchester City in 2023: Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, European Super Cup, and Club World Cup.
