Guirassy snubs Man Utd, ETH turns to Sevilla forward Youssef En-Nesyri

Manchester United are reportedly interested in Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri, as first-choice target Serhou Guirassy is poised to leave in the winter transfer window.

Erik Ten Hag’s squad has struggled in the English Premier League this season, having lost seven of their first 17 league games.

The Red Devils are looking to improve Erik ten Hag’s squad in January and are interested in Stuttgart’s Guirassy, but The Sun reports that the 27-year-old is considering a move to rival rivals Tottenham.

According to the article, Guirassy prefers a move to London to join Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs rather than joining United.

United are looking at potential forward reinforcements after being hampered by injuries and unimpressive purchases, including £72 million summer transfer Rasmus Hojlund, who has yet to score in the Premier League.

Scouts had been keeping a close eye on Guirassy, a Bundesliga standout who has already scored 17 goals in Germany this season.

Ten Hag, on the other hand, has shifted his focus to Sevilla and Morocco striker En-Nesyri, assigning scouts to watch him in action, notably in their LaLiga match against Atletico Madrid.

En-Nesyri, the focal point of Sevilla’s offense since January 2020, was instrumental in the club winning two Europa League titles.

Despite Sevilla’s difficult season (they are presently 14th in the table), En-Nesyri has been a star performer this season, with eight goals and four assists.

Sevilla, who are already out of the Champions League, are considering selling En-Nesyri, whose contract runs until June 2025.

The prospective sum is reported to be approximately £16 million, as the club seeks to save costs in the face of coaching changes and wage payments.

Ten Hag is intrigued by En-Nesyri’s strong achievements, notably a noteworthy goal against Portugal in the World Cup quarterfinals last year.
