Zinedine Zidane Determined to Help Alpine F1 Win An Important Battle

After years of hard work by numerous agencies, female involvement in motorsports is finally beginning to rise. Working in the same field, Alpine launched a new project called the ‘Rac(h)er’ program, which focuses on developing young female talent across multiple motorsport disciplines.

As of today, the program provides assistance to six young female karters. According to SoyMotor, the program recently held a special karting event in which soccer royalty Zinedine Zidane also played an important role.

Lisa Billard and Sukhmani Kaur Khera, two of the six drivers there, were in charge of advising Zidane for the race. Speaking about female participation in racing, the Frenchman believed they were on the correct track despite certain difficulties.

“It’s complicated, but I believe we’re on the right track.” The women will be spotted there in a short time. We’ll see if she has talent and is good. Anyway, that’s what we all want,” Zidane remarked.

Alpine F1 drivers Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon were also in attendance. While here, Gasly voiced his enthusiasm for the Rac(h)er program, wanting to see a Rac(h)er driver in Formula One soon.”I am confident that Alpine, as a team, will support them.” They are in this program because they have demonstrated exceptional talent. Hopefully, we’ll be able to grant them a pass to F1.”

In addition, established driver Sophia Floersch is supported by the program. As a result, the program highlights the necessity of empowering and encouraging female drivers in motorsports.

When asked about Floersch, Rac(h)er program leader Claire Mesnier said that the driver reminded her of an F1 racer, which led to her bringing Floersch on board the one-of-a-kind program and their F1 academy.
