In his quest for peak performance, Erling Haaland sought the advice of biomechanics specialist John Haddad, also known as “Mr Fix.”
..
Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, who is doubtful for the Club World Cup owing to a foot injury, came to Spain to confer with Haddad, with whom he has been working closely since 2020. Previously, Haaland recovered quickly from a hip injury while playing for Borussia Dortmund under Haddad’s tutelage. The Norwegian media has called Haddad a “miracle man,” and despite unconventional measures, Haaland believes he will recover quickly. Haaland paid a visit to Haddad this week, accompanied by City physiotherapist Mario Pafundi.
While City boss Pep Guardiola expects Haaland to accompany the club to Saudi Arabia, he may miss some games in Jeddah. Guardiola is still wary of Haaland’s participation in forthcoming games, emphasizing the need of ensuring he is pain-free before returning to action.
The collaboration between the City striker and Haddad involves the usage of light-blocking eyewear to improve sleep quality and relaxation. Guardiola has warned his players not to lose sight of the forthcoming match against Crystal Palace in the midst of thoughts of the Saudi sun and upcoming Club World Cup matchups.
