Manchester United’s injured CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN has returned to training.
Eriksen was spotted at Carrington on Monday, the day after United battled to a 0-0 draw against Liverpool, which will be a welcome boost for a team beset by absences.
It might be a picture of two individuals, people playing soccer, people playing football, and text.
The midfielder, 31, has been sidelined since suffering a knee injury in the first half of the Red Devils’ 1-0 win over Luton Town five weeks ago.
Eriksen’s absence from the starting XI has coincided with the Red Devils’ creative problems, which have blown hot and cold this season.
However, the Dane is back in full training mode.
Harry Maguire (groin), Mason Mount (calf), and Tyrell Malacia (knee) are the next players to be cleared to play.
Eriksen, who will be available for selection again with Bruno Fernandes, will seek to make the matchday squad for Saturday’s Old Trafford showdown. The Portuguese midfielder was suspended for Sunday’s tie at Anfield after receiving a fifth yellow card in the 3-0 loss to Bournemouth.
On Sunday, Ten Hag started a midfield three of Sofyan Amrabat, Kobbie Mainoo, and Scott McTominay, with the latter switching to the No.10 position. Casemiro and Mason Mount are both still out due to injury.
