Alejandro Garnacho, a Manchester United youth player, has debuted a stunning new leg tattoo inspired by his favorite childhood cartoon.
After impressing in the minor ranks, the 18-year-old is on the outside of the Red Devils first-team.
Garnacho has five senior appearances and has trained with Argentina’s squad with Lionel Messi.
Garnacho has some cool new ink on his leg ahead of a potentially glittering career, which may inspire his admirers to follow suit.
Garnacho has a tattoo of Captain Tsubasa, his favorite childhood football cartoon, on his lower calf.
The plot revolves around Tsubasa’s friendships, rivalry with his opponents, training, and the outcome of each football match.
The football tattoo complements those on his arms, which include Prison Break characters, roses, a tiger, and a woman’s face.
Garnacho has appeared in three games for United this season, the most recent being a 2-0 Europa League victory over Sheriff.
He has made one Premier League appearance this season.
He has, however, spent the majority of his time on the bench, failing to appear in four games.
Garnacho has worked with perhaps the best two footballers of all time, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who are both his “idols” and from whom he could learn a lot, which would assist United.
The youngster has been seen consulting with United teammate Ronaldo, 37, who handed him his hat-trick match ball from last season’s victory against Norwich.
Garnacho has been so impressive that some former Manchester United players have called for him to be given greater playing time.
Paul Parker, a former Manchester United defender, wants to see more of the “tenacious” winger.
“I think really you have to look at what you have within the squad, there’s a younger player, Alejandro Garnacho,” Parker told BeMyBet.
“During the preseason, everyone was talking about him.
“Garnacho is tenacious…” Many Argentinians play with a fire in their belly and are a little angry, and he has a competitive edge.”
