The Manchester City stars have made the children’s dream of meeting soccer stars a reality. This is part of the Manchester United football team’s Christmas charity effort “The Best for All.”
Man City also donated £5 for every item sold during the club’s charity fund retail event. The entire donation was translated into 5,750 hours of free health consulting for city youth.
Jack Grealish and his teammates delivered 500 gifts to children receiving treatment at Manchester Royal Children’s Hospital. “I hope these memories help to create a meaningful Christmas season for the children here,” defender John Stones said.
Winger Jeremy Doku smiled cheerfully as he chatted with patients and gave them gifts. Man City’s charitable effort includes activities such as “supporting young people to improve their healthy lives through football” and gift-giving at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
One day after visiting the pediatric patients, Manchester City defeated Crvena Zvezda 3-2 in the Champions League group stage finale. Coach Pep Guardiola’s team won all six matches to finish first in Group G.
Man City will play Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday. To catch Arsenal, Manchester United must win at all costs. Man City is presently fourth in the table with 33 points, four points behind Mikel Arteta’s squad.
