According to Football Insider, Manchester United are willing to sell Christian Eriksen in January as they prepare to release another superstar.

According to Football Insider, the club believes the 31-year-old’s “legs have gone” and that he is failing to keep up with the Premier League’s intensity.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is preparing to assume control of football decisions at Old Trafford, with his plan to purchase a 25% share in the club just days away from completion.

Football Insider reported earlier this month (6 December) that Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s investment in Manchester United would be completed within days.

Eriksen has been out with a knee injury suffered against Luton Town since last month, but his performances in the first few weeks of the season were deemed inadequate by the United coaching staff.

In the forthcoming transfer window, United will consider bids for the former Tottenham and Brentford player, whose contract ends in the summer of 2025.

He was a long-time favorite of former Ajax manager Erik ten Hag, who signed him as a free agent in the summer of 2022 during his first transfer window with the club.

Eriksen made 44 appearances for United in all competitions and started 25 of the 31 league games he was available for, scoring once and assisting eight times.

In 15 games this season, he has one goal and two assists.

United have had an uneven season so far, but they won three points against Everton on Wednesday (6 December).

On Saturday (9 December), they will play Bournemouth in the Premier League at Old Trafford.
