His ability to find the back of the net proved crucial once again, as he rescued Manchester United with two ιnjury-time goals in a previous game against Brentford. With questions surrounding Ten Hag’s leadership, McTominay stepped up when it mattered the most.

Despite a Cole Palmer equalizer just before halftime, McTominay’s goals secured a much-needed victory for Manchester United following their lackluster defeat to Newcastle. Ten Hag has shown his willingness to make bold decisions, and this was evident in his lineup changes, with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial being dropped to the bench. This decision may not have been surprising considering their performances against Newcastle, where both players were substituted in the 61st minute.
