After retiring from the NFL, NFL legend Tom Brady joked that he’s still working on being present with his kids in a Father’s Day message.
On Father’s Day, the 45-year-old posted a touching message to his father, Tom Brady Sr., and his three kids.
Brady has an elder son named Jack from his two-year relationship with Bridget Moynahan, which ended in 2006. Brady also shares his youngest two children, Benjamin and Vivian, with his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen.
In addition to expressing his delight at becoming their father and sharing a heartfelt tribute to his father, he uploaded several pictures of his kids to Instagram.
In addition, he said that becoming a father is “the best thing” in his life and that his children had taught him to be more mindful of the moment, though he acknowledged that he was still working on it since leaving the NFL.
“On this Father’s Day, all I can think about is how grateful I am to have three beautiful angels of my own that I get to watch grow up,” he captioned the photo. “I was raised by the best Dad in the world.”
“The greatest thing in my life is being a dad.” It means the world to me to be able to impart all that my father has taught me about perseverance to Jack, Benny, and Vivi.
They have taught me to be in the moment (something I’m still working on every day) and to value our family time because that’s what really counts.
I am incredibly happy to be their father because of their unwavering altruism and compassion for others, qualities that I know originate from everyone in their life. I appreciate you being you, Dad, and that I get to be your dad because of my three wonderful children.
Brady posted a picture of himself and his 79-year-old father, Tom Brady Snr., in addition to a vintage image of the entire family.
A young Brady is seen being held by his father, along with his sisters Maureen, Nancy, and Julie, and his mother, Galynn. Brady is the lone boy and youngest of the Brady siblings.
After that, he posted a number of pictures of his own kids, including the trio grinning in the garden, on the golf course, and as his two sons were having fun in the swimming pool.
In addition, he included two photos of himself: one showing him kissing his younger kid and the other showing him eating with Vivian and Benjamin on what looks to be a family trip.
He posted an old picture of himself, his brother Galynn, and his three sisters Julie, Nancy, and Maureen Brady.
