Man United said in a statement following the probe that they do not expect Greenwood to play for them again. However, the English player’s future is going to change dramatically.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe will acquire control of the sports division when he completes his purchase of 25% of Manchester United’s shares in the next six weeks. The 71-year-old will then decide Greenwood’s destiny.

No decision has been made, according to Fabrizio Romano, but Ratcliffe has discussed and will further study Greenwood’s condition.

Romano specifically stated, “According to what I hear at the moment, no decision has been made about Greenwood.” Jim Ratcliffe’s current emphasis is the club structure, as determined by the board of directors. As a result, he conducts a variety of things, not only with one player. The situation is unclear in Greenwood as well.
