Man City is planning to recruit Joshua Kimmich, one of the most versatile players in world football at this time.
Kimmich is mainly positioned as a defensive midfielder by coach Thomas Tuchel. Meanwhile, in the German team, his role is flexible between right back and midfielder.
Kimmich’s contract with Bayern Munich is valid until 2025. He seems not ready to renew with the German football champions.
Pep Guardiola really likes Kimmich, so he proactively persuaded him to join the Man City squad from the summer of 2024.
Barcelona and Liverpool are also interested in Kimmich. However, Man City is said to be where the 28-year-old player would be more interested, should he leave Bayern Munich.
