Following Liverpool’s Europa League match against LASK on Thursday evening, Mohamed Salah was swamped with demands for his match shirt.
Several players approached the Egyptian striker after the game, in which he scored his 199th Liverpool goal to help Jurgen Klopp’s side beat LASK 4-0 at Anfield.
Salah, who was substituted in the 56th minute after scoring from the penalty spot, said he would gladly swap clothes with his followers.
Moses Usor, a 21-year-old winger, approached him first and instantly removed his bench coat before tearing off his match shirt.
While removing his shirt for Usor, Salah was approached by another LASK player and asked if he could switch some gear.
The Liverpool attacker looked up and smiled before offering to the eager LASK defender, ‘I’ll give you a second one inside’.
Fans reacted quickly on social media, with many thanking the Liverpool star for his graciousness.
One fan said, ‘Class act as always from our man Salah.’ ‘He’s honestly such a good person,’ said another.
‘They will tell their grandchildren about the day they swapped clothes with Mo Salah,’ another supporter remarked.
Mo Salah is one goal away from reaching 200 goals after scoring against LASK on Thursday evening.
The Reds led 2-0 at halftime and had the opportunity to expand their lead after the break when LASK goalkeeper Tobias Lawal knocked out Cody Gakpo.
Salah scored his 199th goal for the club when the referee pointed to the spot and gave a penalty, which he hammered beyond the goalie.
Salah’s performance also enabled Liverpool to finish first in Group E with a game to spare and qualify for the Last 16 with 12 points.
They will finish the group stage by hosting Union SG on December 14, while LASK will host Toulouse.
