Fans have trolled Kylian Mbappe after his overhead kιck went horribly wrong against Newcastle.

The Parisians were trailing Newcastle 1-0 at the time when Ousmane Dembele went through goal.

Mbappe lined up for the spectacular overhead kιck. And took a Garnacho-esque shot. But it didn’t even get close to the goal.

Nick Pope blocked his shot, giving Mbappe the chance to try something amazing.

However, it backfired, and the ball ended up falling at teammate Fabian Ruiz’s feet outside of the penalty area to the left.

Fans were ruthless in drawing comparisons with Alejandro Garnacho’s wonder goal at the weekend. Many felt that Garnacho’s acrobatic strike was the finest ever in the Premier League.

One fan said, “Mbappe thought he was Garnacho.”

Another wrote, “That was so bad” alongside a laughing emoji.

A third wrote, “There is only one Alejandro Garnacho, Mbappe had to find that out the hard way.”

A fourth said, “Mbappe really thought he was Garnacho.”

TNT Sports commentator Darren Fletcher also drew comparisons with the Manchester United teen sensation.

He cheekily quipped during TNT’s commentary to sаy, “I think he needs half an hour with Garnacho!”

Mbappe ultimately had the last laugh as he scored a hugely contentious ιnjury-time penalty to seal a 1-1 draw.
