Liverpool are apparently exploring an audacious move for France and Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe, but Real Madrid will be tough competition.

The ace striker’s contract in Paris expires next summer, allowing him to leave for free.

However, his present salary at PSG is a staggering £63 million per year, and any suitor would have to match or exceed that.

Nonetheless, according to Team Talk, Liverpool may be able to make the expenditure provided they can secure Saudi Arabian funds for top forward Mohamed Salah.

After Al-Ittihad’s £150 million deal was turned down in the summer, the Egyptian remains the most sought-after player for Saudi clubs.

Al-Ittihad may be willing to pay up to £200 million for the 31-year-old, who has 12 goals and five assists for the Reds this season.

According to Team Talk, such a boost to Liverpool’s transfer fund would allow them to put together an appealing offer for Mbappe and rival Real Madrid for his signature.

Any deal for Mbappe, who has 17 goals in 17 appearances for PSG this season, would be a major show of purpose from the Reds, who are attempting to reduce the gap on Manchester City.

Mbappe, on the other hand, is still anticipated to move to the Bernabeu next summer, with a verbal agreement in place, which has generated considerable conflict between the player and his bosses.
