Van Dijk stated that Liverpool has moved on from last season’s disappointment and is ready to compete fairly for the Premier League title this season.

Last season, Liverpool disappointed many by finishing fifth in the Premier League and thus missing out on the Champions League. This summer saw many changes in The Kop’s efforts to find themselves.

The Red Brigade’s performance in the Premier League 2023/24 thus far has been remarkable. Jurgen Klopp’s club is ranked third with 28 points, just two points behind top team Arsenal.

Van Dijk recently stated that Liverpool is now ready to fight for the Premier League crown. The player, who was born in 1991, stated:

“We weren’t overly excited the previous seasons when Liverpool had a chance to compete for the title.”

Every match, we give it our all. That should be our motivation. There’s no denying that we want to win everything for which we’re competing. This year, we appear more consistent, something we did not have last year.
