‘I love watching Liverpool’: Mbappe expresses interest for Liverpool show as Reds now exploring deal to sign

Jurgen Klopp has transformed Liverpool into one of the world’s most entertaining teams since his debut at Anfield in 2015.

Whether it was his early iteration’s gegenpressing, his title-winners’ solid control, or the new Liverpool 2.0’s counter-attacking, the Reds are a hot ticket.

According to the Daily Record, Liverpool has recently had one famous supporter.

They claim that PSG starlet Kylian Mbappe has been a ‘admirer’ of Klopp’s Reds for’several years.’

Liverpool are apparently ‘exploring the financial and sporting parameters’ of signing Mbappe to Anfield next summer as a result of this.

As things stand, the Frenchman will be out of contract at the end of the season and free to leave PSG for nothing. Although the French champions are supposed to be’relaxed’ about the situation, Mbappe is said to be undecided about his future. Arsenal are said to be interested in Kylian, but it is the Reds who have piqued Kylian’s interest.

Mbappe enjoys the Liverpool game

Mbappe’s preference for Liverpool should be fairly well known at this point.

The World Cup winner has previously expressed his mother’s affection for the Reds and has freely discussed prior transfer conversations with them. There must be something there.

It remains to be seen whether this is enough to get Mbappe to join Liverpool.

It’s difficult to see how bringing in the France international makes sense for Liverpool on the pitch right now.

There is no doubt that Mbappe is one of the top players on the planet. Given that he is still under the age of 25, his finest days are likely yet ahead of him.

However, because the player prefers to play on the left side of an attack, Liverpool do not require him.

That’s before you even consider the financial implications of his possible agreement. Yes, no price would have to be paid to PSG, who spent £166 million for him in 2017. But, with Mbappe earning a huge salary in Paris, it’s difficult to see Liverpool turning down that offer.

Of course, it would be quite exciting to watch the Reds pursue perhaps the finest player in the world right now. If there’s a chance Mbappe is interested, Liverpool should investigate. But no matter how many times this link reappears, we still don’t understand how it works. Kylian, I apologize.
