Anthony Davis and his daughter Nala attended the WNBA All-Star Game at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas. During the NBA’s summer, the Los Angeles Lakers great is spending time with his five-year-old son.
Over the last two weeks, AD has failed to be to the Thomas and Mack Center to watch the Lakers’ summer league team. Knowing how much time he spends away from his family during the regular season, he’s making every effort to spend time with Nala before the next season begins.
Davis and his daughter enjoyed and competed alongside A’ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, Brittney Griner, Satou Sabally, and many more. Wilson and Stewart received the most votes and captained their respective teams.
The defending champions, the Las Vegas Aces, are represented by four players in the All-Star Game, led by Wilson. Coach Becky Hammon is also in command of the game. Both the Atlanta Dream and the New York Liberty have three representatives in the competition.
The game is a rematch of the previous season’s duel, which Team Wilson won. This year, Anthony Davis and Nala watched Team Stewart’s 143-127 thrashing of their competitors.
After scoring 31 points, Jewell Lloyd of the Seattle Storm was named All-Star Game MVP. She smashed Maya Moore’s 2015 and Kelsey Plum’s 2017 records of 30 points each.
Brittney Griner had a touching moment to begin the game. While she was imprisoned in Russia last year, the WNBA named her an All-Star starter. She’s back where she belongs this year.
When Griner slammed the ball home for the 26th time in her career, Anthony Davis and Nala were among those who rose up.
